Whatcom Action Coalition

Stop the Train - Benefit Show: July 2nd, 2011

Dancing and political organizing? Not a typical combination, but both will be showcased July 2nd at The Old Foundry in downtown Bellingham, as part of an event organized by a new group, the Whatcom Action Coalition.

Whatcom Action Coalition (WAC) was formed to resist the proposed SSA Marine Coal Terminal at Cherry Point. Headlined by progressive dance rock-band The Endorfins, the event will feature local bands Snug Harbor and Olio and feature short speeches from local non-profits Resources, Surfrider, and Fertile Ground.

There will be resources, information and opportunities to get more involved at the event. For general information about the WAC, contact them at: http://on.fb.me/itK2sf
